Connect with God

Grow Spiritually, Connect With God, and Increase Confidence

About Us

One may say human beings are always connected to God if we believe that He is the totality of everything; the whole. In reality that's true and God never ceases to be with us, however it's our mind that causes our separation from God. It's when we think we can do everything by ourselves, filled with confidence, believing that we can be successful in our endeavours because, "I have the intelligence and abilities to do it." It's also when we live our life feeling everything is totally in our hands, without even the slightest consideration that we weren't born by our own power and are only allowed to live by a force greater than our own. This belief, attitude or state of mind separates us from God and it's usually our ego that creates this separation.

Being confident and believing we can be successful is great, but when we hit a major speed bump on the road of life, it's usually those who are not "with God" who are left completely lost about what to do and lose hope. Many of these people may turn to drugs, drinking, illegal activities and some foolishly lose their lives because their goals could not be accomplished and they feel like failures.

Also, those not living with God are usually living without fully enjoying their daily lives. They don't tend to have firm principles for their lives rather they are often ruled by their own feelings and many of them live a life of inertia from day to day. But after all, it's also possible many people may not be able to avoid having a meaningless life. This is especially true when they are not even aware that they are not living solely by their own power, but were given birth and allowed to live by God. In our materialistic secular society, often people don't give a thought to the fact that we are not in control.

There are also some people who appear to have a devoted faith and are doing their best while praying to God, but actually they are not connected with God. The reason people appear as if they have a devoted faith but don't is because they encounter unexpected misfortunes or they became severely sick and so they lose trust in God. Often these people have the mental habit of being excessively attached to things. Even though they say they have faith in God, this is their own way of having a faith through their mental habits. In other words, they don't understand God and are using Him, blaming Him and developing a purely selfish way of faith. This is not a form of really being with God.

The meaning of truly being with God is not just praying to God. It also has to be a conscious feeling of always being with God realising we are all part of God, while following the correct pathway. It's the realisation that our life is in God's hands every moment we are alive and to consciously follow God's path for human beings with full appreciation for this precious life we've been given. In PL we refer to this as living "an artistic life" by believing in and following PL Precept 1, "Life Is Art."

A prayer to God does not have to be complicated, it can even be just repeating in our mind something such as, "God I'm now driving in heavy traffic, please bless me to drive safely." I often do a quick prayer in front of my prayer symbol at home before going out the door, "God, I'm now going shopping please bless me to get the things I need and to drive safely there and back. Thank You." Then when I arrive at the shopping center and see there are no parking spaces available, in my mind I say, "God, please bless me to find a parking spot," and most of the time I find one very quickly.
